Tupper Hill is a quiet neighborhood east of downtown Mount Vernon. Most of the hill's residents are retired and enjoy a peaceful lifestyle. Many are good friends, meeting often for dinner or games. One particular group walks together three times a week. A brisk stroll around the neighborhoods, usually with their dogs. Their constant chatter includes all the basics: healthcare, politics, football and coffee. When peace on the hill is turned upside down by a mysterious and horrific murder, Detective Early Moon is called to investigate the homicide. However, his presence on the hill quickly rekindles an old festering conflict with an aging recluse living alone in the nearby woods.
