From wartime Deck Cadet to owner of his own sailing school, Captain Bill Sturrock saw it all. In this book he recalls his adventures and experiences at sea. Originally from Tayport on the East Coast of Scotland, he navigated a yacht and it's American Airman owner across the Atlantic just after WW 2. Later he fitted out a Colvic 29'6 from a bare hull and deck, making the mast and spars. With this craft he started his training school near Oban on the West coast, and taught seafaring skills to all comers.
