What does one do when given Immortality?
Run, obviously.
Joan Delaney has spent 79 years of immortality with her head buried in the metaphoric sand of the Nevada desert, hidden amongst monsters seeking their own asylum in the small town of Currant, Nevada. It all comes to an end one sunny Wednesday morning spent pleasantly pestering Quinlan, her ornery leprechaun of a boss. The day starts to turn strange with a local man running down Main St naked and screaming, continued on to horrific when a young teenage Satyr spontaneously combusts through a store window, and another teenager lays comatose surrounded by strange black mist in a really creepy manor. Someone then decides to end the day on an extra horrible note and shoots Joan in the chest.
Joan reluctantly joins her close friend and sheriff's deputy, Lisa Hackson, to investigate the murder in question alongside the newly arrived Immortal, Sam, who works as Lisa's partner in a bid to stop her town from fracturing at the seams.
