Treasures by the Sea is the first in a series of Christian stories that help children understand the core beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Bible. Using her real life adventures in and around the Pacific Ocean, the author weaves lessons from nature and the Bible to help children understand God's messages of love for them.

Treasures by the Sea was originally published as a serial story by Guide Magazine under the title The Key in the Lock, and then in book form by Pacific Press.
