Tiptoe the red-footed tortoise is having a very serious hour. Gizmo the Friendly Snake can tell something is wrong, but he doesn't understand why Tiptoe is so upset. As the day grows darker, Gizmo begins to worry that something may truly be wrong - or worse, that Tiptoe no longer likes him or doesn't care about his fresh constricted juice. But as the day unfolds, Gizmo discovers that the reason behind Tiptoe's serious hour may not be what he expected at all.
Determined to cheer up his friend, Gizmo sets out on a heartfelt and humorous mission filled with kindness, colorful ingredients, and emotional surprises. But as Gizmo searches for the perfect way to help Tiptoe smile again, he discovers that friendship sometimes means listening, staying patient, and showing up for someone even when you don't fully understand what they are feeling.
Set in the whimsical watercolor world of Gizmo the Friendly Snake, Tiptoe's Serious Hour is a gentle children's picture book about friendship, big feelings, emotional reassurance, and finding comfort in unexpected places. Featuring lovable reptile characters, cozy illustrations, playful humor, and Gizmo's famous fresh constricted juice, this heartwarming story encourages children to talk about emotions while reminding readers that even the most serious days can still turn sweet.
Perfect for ages 5-8, reptile lovers, classrooms, bedtime reading, and families looking for comforting stories with warmth, humor, sensitivity, and heart.
