The Yezidis and Their Customs is a comprehensive book written by Joseph Isya that explores the unique beliefs and practices of the Yezidi community. The Yezidis are a religious minority group who reside primarily in Iraq, Syria, and Turkey. This book delves into the history of the Yezidi people, their religious beliefs, and their customs and traditions. Isya provides readers with an in-depth analysis of Yezidi religious practices, including their veneration of angels and saints, their worship of a supreme being known as Melek Taus, and their belief in reincarnation. The book also explores Yezidi social customs, including their marriage and funeral rites, as well as their traditional dress and cuisine.
