The Trackman is the scintillating debut novel from British Author, Train Driver, and Stand Up Comedian Karl Davis. His first day in CID, and already it seems that a sadistic and decaying mind is reaching out to Detective Sergeant Joe Tenby. As the bodies of people with a connection to the railways begin to pile up, Detective Sergeant Tenby becomes increasingly convinced that the investigation is going in the wrong direction. With the scenes of crime yielding precious little in terms of clues, and the press and senior officers alike growing restless in the face of a lack of results, Detective Sergeant Tenby begins to wonder whether the key to unlocking the mystery lies within the mists of the past rather than at the side of a railway line. Matters are brought to a head when a Police Officer is found dead, and as Joe receives sickening video footage in the mail, he is drawn into mortal danger, family scandals, betrayal, and an explosive race for the truth that places him firmly in the crosshairs of a deranged killer, hell bent on meting out his own dark brand of 'justice'
