*Angel*, is Volume 4 of The Sojourner Series, which began with Volume 1, *Daniel's Steinbeck Lost*. *Angel* continues the appearance of Deja', a mythical grey female terrier, the companion of the various protagonists, male and female, as they appear, interact, disappear, and return over time, distance, and circumstance. She is, perhaps, a curious echo of Holmes' Doctor Watson. Although each episode stands alone, it is nevertheless an integral continuation of Deja's journey. On occasion, it may seem that she has a dual existence, but, it is merely an illusion in the space-time fabric of the reader's twisted psychic.
