The tenth story in the Chosen to Serve series is a remarkably plausible tale of evil using technology to move this world closer to the long-held goal of global depravity and domination. The story deals with the HOW of the antichrist's ascension to power.
The Bible says that this man will have incredible power and will deceive many followers of Christ. He will perform miracles and signs and wonders to prove his claim and will even proclaim himself to be God. The only way to overcome the deception is by having the Seventh Sense - the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that brings discernment of good and evil.
Of course, it's a given that the man's power is drawn from the god of this world, who lives to destroy the works of the true God. This story is not about magic, but rather existing technology that evil is already using.
The questions of how the temple can be rebuilt in Jerusalem since the Muslims control the temple mount; and how the man can seem to have such power and ability; and how he can ascend so quickly into world prominence are dealt with.
The possibility of the story actually being on target is a chilling thought, and the story ends at the beginning of the Tribulation.
