The Resurrection Protocol (fiction) IRAQ, 2003 What secrets lie beneath the shifting sands of Babylon and Nineveh? It must be of a great wealth far more valuable than gold or oil. Men of violence have fought wars here for millennia while a peaceful army of archaeologists from every nation are ever probing it with their shovels and spades. In March 2003, the United States, along with coalition forces, initiated military actions in Iraq, citing the threat posed by Saddam Hussein's regime. As a result of the hostilities, there was no shortage of those in need of assistance, primarily displaced Iraqi refugees and others affected by the war and the strife that it brings. Driven to help those in need, Thomas Fernandes volunteers to assist with logistics for a six month tour under the U.N.'s Emergency Humanitarian Support Agency and is stationed at an office in Cairo, Egypt. However, a larger and sinister race is on. An international super governmental organization searching for the secrets of Gilgamesh and the location of his ancient Resurrection Chamber. They use the confusion of war to mask their own movements and operations in the region. Their goal is to establish a new world order under the authority of a global emperor created by them to rule the planet for all eternity. Their means of achieving this is the activation of the Resurrection Chamber of Gilgamesh. There is only one man who stands between them and the Resurrection Chamber: Thomas Fernandes. Is he up to the challenge?
