The Product is a 52 episode narrated radio play depicting 100 years of fictional history about the contribution experimental music, lighting and decor have made, in the synthesis of artificial environments in establishments of pleasure and leisure, seen through the eyes of a family that have made it a business, to control the entire entertainment industry. I'm using a process of historical extrapolation... My sources are the last two hundred years of human history and some of the key dates and noteworthy technological and scientific developments. With that I'm combining the current socio-political turmoil and projecting the possible outcomes two hundred years into the future. The premise is that there is no escaping the fact that humanity must ultimately come to terms with its own shortcomings and confront its own naturally self destructive impulses, if it is to survive the next trials the cosmos is about to throw at it. As this is intended as a radio play, I am including a playlist for those of you who want to delve deeper.
