The family, Tom, his momma Sally, and his sister, Ellen, all struggle to make the small shop thrive, but Tom is also saddled with a small son, Tobias, whose mother is serving time in prison for drug dealing. Nonetheless, in a growing sense of life's purpose, and dreams for happiness and success through the family business, Tom is sent to the bank to get change for the store. He comes back to find the shop a place of blood and horror and murder spread out in broken shelves of confections and with the broken bodies of apparently all his loved ones the prominent display that meets his eyes.
