It wasn't until he'd driven away from Dunkies, coffee in hand and Mike in the passenger seat that he remembered. You're dead.
I know I'm dead. We need to solve my murder, Mike said.
But you're dead.
His partner might be gone, but he's not resting in peace. And he's got a job for Kennedy: find his killer.
But working a case with a ghost comes with complications. How does Kennedy explain the tips? How does he keep his badge when his colleagues think he's talking to thin air?

A faint snore drifted up from where Jamie lay across his bed.
Uh huh, Noah replied as he eyed Jamie's half-dressed body sprawled across the top of the blankets. If you say so.
Jack and Jamie get their information from unorthodox sources - ghosts.
But they've figured out a way to make it look legit, and they're closing cases in spite of the questions and harassment.
What looked like a simple murder case has become so much more.
Money, politics, power, and ties to the church mean there's a lot of people who don't want this murder solved.
With so much at stake, they want Jack and Jamie silenced - permanently.
