THE MOON ALWAYS FOLLOWED ME is the unfiltered memoir of a woman who has lived ten lifetimes inside one. Born in West Africa under skies so full of stars they looked alive. Raised in Montreal apartments where she locked herself out at five years old and figured it out alone. Pulled across an ocean and dropped into Canadian winters that hurt her face. Watched half her building burn to the ground and walked out of the other half untouched. Saw a wall in her kitchen turn into a window to Ghana in the middle of the night.
She loved a boy named Perry - and on a September night in 2006, she lost him forever. A month later, an orb of light appeared beside her in a photograph and has never left her since.
She married the wrong man. She left. She raised four children on her own and dreamed every single one of them before they arrived. She stood at the edge of the Rocky Mountains and felt the world show off just for her. She danced in Jamaica. She walked through London and recognized it from a dream she had years before her plane ever touched down.
She has been betrayed. Lied about. Attacked. She has felt things touch her in the dark. She has called on the name of Jesus at three in the morning and watched the shadow leave.
And through all of it - the moon kept following her.
