Catalina Ruiz is a recruiter for a major music labeling company. She is assigned to recruit a band in El Paso, Texas, near the border close to Ciudad Juarez. Uninterested in seeing her relatives that she has not kept in touch with, she begrudgingly goes with the promise of promotion and extra pay. When she finally arrives in El Paso, she gets more than she bargained for when the city is terrorized by violent raccoons that cannot be accounted for. She begins to notice a connection between the band and the deaths taking place, and it's not until the height of her success with recruiting the band that she makes the major discovery that ends up turning the tide for the citizens of El Paso, Texas and beyond.
