The lockdown was supposed to keep them safe. But the nights are when the real horror begins.
Ren is an ordinary office worker in Toshima City. His life is a routine of beer, video games, and after-work drinks with his two friends: Yuri, a pragmatic hospital doctor, and Yuma, a conspiracy theorist who sees hidden hands behind every crisis.
When the government declares a mandatory lockdown due to a mysterious virus, the city falls silent. But the silence is broken every night by a terrifying, unidentifiable noise-and strange lights that flicker beyond the curtains.
Ren is told to stay inside, close the windows, and not look outside. He obeys. At first.
As days turn into weeks, food runs out. The internet dies. Neighbors vanish in the middle of the night. Yuri sends a chilling video from the hospital-bodies in bags, men in hazmat suits. Then she goes silent. Yuma disappears after screaming into his phone.
Alone, trapped, and running out of supplies, Ren must decide: trust the government's promise that help is coming, or break the lockdown to uncover the truth about what hides in the noise.
The Lockdown is a slow-burn psychological thriller about fear, paranoia, and the thin line between safety and imprisonment. For fans of Bird Box and Severance.
