The Little Shetland is the first book in a series about a ten-year-old girl named Sally who lives on a horse ranch. When a little Shetland pony is discovered lost in a dairy farmer's field, the farmer takes the pony to his neighbour's horse ranch where it can be taken care of by Sally and her family.
