Thrust into an unwanted alliance with Lyra - a stoic huntress whose First People blood makes her uniquely attuned to the wild and a crucial target for Zarthus's dark ritual - and Roric, a quick-witted rogue whose cynicism masks surprising loyalty, Khelgar must navigate a land twisted by corruption. They face monstrous drakes warped by the Orb, silent shadow-hounds born of despair, treacherous terrain, and the insidious whispers of the artifact itself, preying on their deepest fears and regrets.
As they penetrate deeper, guided by the guilt-ridden scholar Theron, they uncover the true extent of Zarthus's madness and the chilling depths of Nyx's manipulation.
