The fifth book in a magical adventure series for young readers, following an apprentice quietly charged with uniting the scattered pieces of a queen's armour. Dark elves are massing for invasion, and his only clue to the final guardian comes from a source he cannot trust.
Time is running out for Ben Greenwood, not as an apprentice for the Royal Institute of Magic, but as the Head Guardian, secretly responsible for uniting Queen Elizabeth's Armour.
The dark elves are coming and the only chance of stopping them is to find the last Guardian and the final two pieces of the armour. They'll be difficult to find and heavily protected, as they're the most important of all. To make matters worse, Ben's only clue to their whereabouts comes from a particularly unreliable source.
With the dark elves massing an army and looking increasingly likely to begin their invasion, Ben faces a race against time to find the last Guardian and unite the final pieces of Elizabeth's Armour. But that isn't his only challenge, he'll soon be make a critical decision involving his closest friends, and even his oldest enemies, that might make or break the entire mission.
Victor Kloss's The Last Guardian is the fifth book in the Royal Institute of Magic series, an adventure for young readers who love fantastical stories, spellbinding worlds, and unforgettable heroes.
Praise for the Royal Institute of Magic series:
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ a cross between Harry Potter and Percy Jackson in that the characters are always on the move at a sort of breathless pace.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ... you don't have to be a magical creature to use magic. Cool.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful Read! Not just for kids, adults will enjoy it just as much!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ... a great sense of adventure, the story line never lagged, and his characters are well defined.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's kind of like a steam-punk version of magic...
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ... original with diverse characters and enough action and mystery to entertain teens to adults.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is honestly one of the few books that I have enjoyed as much as Harry Potter.
