Cornered, and aware that a carbon body is a container with an expiration date, Manuel initiates a logistical strategy to cheat his own death. He discovers a way to transfer copies of his synaptic network into other bodies, building a decentralized quantum system.
He is no longer just one man, but a hive mind operating in anonymity. His initial goal was simply not to disappear. Now, the plan requires rewriting the rules of human biology.
