After growing up in the 80's- six boys from Boston's, Hemmy Park neighborhood in Dorchester, make the Fathers' Pact.
The Fathers' Pact - If anything happens to any of their daughters, the father of daughter cannot do anything about it. Two of the other fathers (The Jokers) are chosen to carry out the vengeful task of taking care of whoever wronged one of their daughters. And only the two Jokers will ever know who was responsible.
Raised on cassette tapes, The Beasties, dive bars, Boston sports, grunge music and the loud chaos of Jane's Addiction-
The Boys from Boston move away but not apart from one another.
Now in their fifties, The Boys carry scars, secrets, bad habits, and a loyalty that never left Hemmy Park.
When tragedy hits close to home, after moving to the rural town of Hanover, MA - the old pact resurfaces.
This gritty, suspenseful debut novel is about brotherhood, family, music, grief, and the very dangerous things ordinary
men will do for the people they love.
Especially for their daughters.
