What would you do if the very reality you lived in came to an abrupt halt? In this heart-stopping thriller, a mother encounters a missing poster featuring her daughter's face - the same daughter she kissed goodbye that morning. As the mystery unravels, the line between reality and the inexplicable blurs, leading her on a suspenseful journey to unveil the chilling secrets hidden beneath the surface.
Single mom Savannah's life has been challenging. When she and her daughter relocate, the trajectory of their lives is improving. She has a nice house, a job she enjoys, and has a wonderful relationship with her daughter. Her life as she knows it shatters during a regular trip to the grocery store.
Savannah's impression of normalcy crumbles after spotting a missing poster as she leaves the store to pick her daughter up from cheerleading practice. The picture on the poster looks exactly like Maddie, her daughter. But that couldn't be right. Savannah hugged Maddie before school that morning and has spoken to her on the phone since then. There is no doubt in Savannah's mind that Maddie couldn't be missing.
Confused and worried, Savannah faces a lot of questions. Is this a disturbing prank, or could this be someone from her past trying to scare her? Could the face on the poster be Maddie?
Doubt creeps into Savannah's mind like a shadow, making her question her sanity as she tries to go about her normal life and the line between what is real and what isn't blur. As she looks back at the places and the people of her past, she becomes increasingly desperate to find answers.
Each day brings new challenges and clues, giving new pieces of a puzzle that she can't seem to solve. Savannah is thrown into a new sense of paranoia, unsure who she can trust, including herself and her unreliable memories.
As Savannah struggles with the growing shadows, readers will find themselves alongside her, wondering what's happening in this thrilling story. This book dives deep into a mother's love and the delicate nature of understanding reality, where dark and mysterious secrets lurk beneath the surface, waiting for discovery.
Will Savannah be able to uncover the truth and save her family from the mysterious evil forces at play? Or will darkness extinguish the once-glowing light in their lives? The answers await discovery in this captivating exploration of suspense and intrigue. It's a journey into the unknown that promises to keep readers on the edge of their seats, eagerly turning the pages to discover what happens next.
