In the sixth book of the Prophet series, Aleta Praetzel's new law practice is inundated with people begging for her help. A child's simple drawing begins a hurried game of cat and mouse. With hardly a moment to recover from giving birth to her son, Aleta must confront a new evil grappling the life of a four-year-old girl. While her husband, Stanley, and she do their best to hide the child and her mother from an insensitive bureaucracy, unseen forces go to work to bury the dark secret that brought the Lithuanian family to America. Too much was happening in Aleta's life for her to hear the subtle prophesy that could save her, yet she was too stubborn to admit her limitations. She wanted a normal life, and acted upon that craving without realizing how she jeopardized her own life and the lives of others.
