Perfect for epic fantasy fans and steampunk fans alike. This story, about an elf who has to use his new Divine powers to save civilization will immerse you in a world of monsters, steam powered technology, and powerful Gods.
The lives of Tuck, a young elven hunter, and his only friend in the world, Samson, an aging Whalic outcast, are forever changed when one day a mysterious aura fills the skies over Fordwin, unlocking the tremendous hidden powers of the Divine. Tuck's newly discovered power to control even the most ferocious animals grows exponentially as he joins in the fight to rid the world of Steamtech, a new and dangerous threat. Steamtech is being developed at an alarming rate for the maddened King by his genius scientist, to create an army of massive steam powered war machines. Nothing will stand in the King's way as he selfishly consumes the continent's supply of resources to satisfy his need for more powerful Steamtech machines. Can Tuck and his new powers along with the resistance, stop the king's madness before there's nothing left?
The Steamtech Chronicles is a trilogy unlike any other, about the balance of good versus evil, nature versus machine, men versus Gods, and even Divine versus Steamtech. The first book in the series is The Divine Awakening and is set in a gritty and mesmerizing world full of swords, dragons, steam-powered war machines, love triangles, bloody battles and characters with so much personality you'll feel like you've known them forever. Top this off with an action-packed story and an unforgettable ending, and you'll never look at any other fantasy series the same way again.
What people are saying.
A fast paced, story driven adventure I couldn't put down!
I was blown away by not only the story but the amazing action scenes in this book. Dragons chasing trains, steam powered mechs fending off a horde of the undead, and so many more scenes you'll have to read for yourself, made this one of the most fun books I've read in a long time!
