What if a virus never left you? What if every test for the rest of your life came back positive, every embrace became a danger, and every moment with those you love carried the risk of destroying them? What would the world do with you-lock you away, abandon you, or try to forget you ever existed?
John Heel-a devoted husband, father of two, and retired engineer-longed for quiet days of fishing and family. Instead, he receives a devastating diagnosis: he is an infinite carrier of COVID-19. To the world, John has committed no crime, yet he is branded a permanent threat. Declared a danger by the World Health Organization, he is exiled to a remote island with others like him, cut off from his family, his country, and the life he once knew.
Alone and abandoned, John must wrestle with grief, fear, and questions of faith. But amid despair, something unexpected begins to take root-a fragile community of the forgotten, bound together by resilience, compassion, and the search for meaning. On the island, survival is only the beginning; purpose and hope emerge in ways no one could have imagined.
The Decision is a powerful story of exile, endurance, and spiritual awakening in a world forever altered by the pandemic. For anyone who has ever felt abandoned, lost, or without purpose, John's journey is a reminder that even in isolation, God's plan can lead to redemption, renewal, and unexpected grace.
