In 2015, Myanmar was preparing for a defining Democratic Election that was the crossroad between almost 40 years of isolation and the possibility of opening up to the World. It was a long awaited period of change.Would the incumbent Military party prevent that change? Would the people's voice prevail? What would the outcome be?More importantly, what was happening in the shadows of the halls of power? Were the conspiracy theories true? Was someone manipulating the strings unseen by everyone else? This is a tale of a dramatic event that was kept silent. It was an incident that spelled danger for the participants in a cat and mouse game. A few expats were caught in the thick of it, yet had to maintain a semblance of innocence in a land that was still cloaked in mystery and intrigue. This is the point of view of a veteran expat who witnessed everything from the outside within, as he gives us a quick glimpse of the raunchy and humorous lives of expats trying to make do in what was once the last frontier of the Wild, Wild East.It is a tale so out there it could have only have happened in Burma.
