This is a whimsical Christmas story book about an adventurous little mouse named Harold, who bakes cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve, thus beginning the tradition of leaving cookies and milk. This story is bilingual in English and Spanish, has a cookie recipe, and sheet music to a brand new Christmas song. The story is in the spirit of giving. Harold works so hard making sure the cat is put out and the decorations are just right for Santa's arrival. Harold works all night baking that by morning he falls into a deep sleep and misses Santa's visit. But don't worry, Santa is so thrilled by Harold's gift that he leaves him a note declaring that Harold has begun a new Christmas tradition. That is why we all leave cookies out for Jolly ole St Nick. The book has Harold's cookie recipe and they are delicious. This is a great book to read from Thanksgiving to Christmas preparing for the most beloved of holidays. Bake with your children then get them off to bed early. Read with young children ages 2-10.
