Chandler Egan, the architect who defined golf on the West Coast and reshaped Pebble Beach, built his earliest Oregon layout here. John Fought, a Tualatin caddie, became Oregon's first U.S. Amateur champion, a world-ranked player, and eventually followed Egan's footsteps as a celebrated course architect.
