Treatise XII Three Books Of Testimonies Against The Jews is a religious book written by Cyprian, a bishop of Carthage in the 3rd century AD. The book contains three parts, each of which is a collection of biblical quotations and references aimed at refuting the arguments of Jewish opponents of Christianity. The first part deals with the Old Testament prophecies that Christians believe were fulfilled by Jesus Christ, while the second part focuses on the Jewish rejection of Jesus as the Messiah. The third part deals with the Jewish rejection of the Christian doctrine of the Trinity. Cyprian's aim in writing this book was to provide Christian apologists with a comprehensive collection of arguments and evidence to use in their debates with Jewish opponents. The book is considered an important work in the history of Christian-Jewish relations and is still studied by scholars and theologians today. That the Gentiles rather than the Jews attain to the kingdom of heaven. In the Gospel the Lord says: Many shall come from the east and from the west, and shall lie down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven; but the children of the kingdom shall go out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
