Angus MacCardie, one of the world's richest men, is dying. Born into poverty in Scotland, he rose to wealth and power through intelligence and ruthlessness. His dying wish is to have a male heir to carry on the name.
However, as fate would have it, Angus sired three daughters, the eldest of which was lost in the Caribbean. He finds James Blair, a local Finance professor, who is almost broke from trying to save his son who is barely hanging onto life from the accident that killed his wife.
So, Angus makes James a proposition: marry his middle daughter and sire a son to carry on the family name, and all of James' financial woes are gone... but no divorce - ever.
What would you do to save your child? What is the cost to play the devil?
