Timo was having an excellent afternoon by the Nile. An artist was painting a bird. The painting was good, but it was missing something.
It was missing a cat.
One walk across the wet paint later, Timo's magic collar flashes and drops him two and a half thousand years into the past, face-first into a papyrus marsh. That traveller was Herodotus. What he wrote survived for two and a half thousand years. He got the bird right. He got the cat completely wrong.
