Thuy's life is like a miniature picture of the fate of the innocent, young girls who married Chinese men. Born in the mid-20th century and raised in the uncertain times of Vietnamese society. Thuy experienced many ups and downs during a turbulent Vietnam. Like thousands of other Vietnamese women who married Chinese men, her life would change forever.

Through Thuy's story, it helps us remember what happened during a dark period of Vietnamese history, but also at the same time awakens the love of peace in each person.
