My name is Jake Tama. Well, Captain Jacob Ezekiel Tama, if you want to get formal. I'm a riverboat captain, and I have been around rivers all my life. Oh, I did spend some time on the ocean in the Navy. Then sixteen years as a policeman--homicide, mostly. But even then I drove boats.
