For twenty-one years, Ade toiled in those mines, buried beneath the earth, breathing salt dust and despair. Thousands perished, but Ade survived. Through endurance and intellect, he turned hardship into mastery. He discovered safer methods to extract salt, organized workers into disciplined teams, and transformed the mines from a graveyard into the richest source of wealth in Solanda's empire.
Yet his father gave him no recognition-only scorn. He called him the Bastard of the Salt Mines. But Ade's name spread among the slaves as a symbol of hope.
When the tyrant king decreed that whichever of his true sons could bring him the head of an enemy king would inherit that conquered kingdom, the empire tore itself apart. The five princes-driven by greed-turned their armies upon one another. Blood soaked the land.
From the chaos, Ade emerged. Using the loyalty of his miners and freed slaves, he led a disciplined revolt that crushed the feuding princes. The war that was meant to destroy him instead forged him into a leader. When Solanda's throne finally fell, the bastard son took his father's place-not as a tyrant, but as a liberator.
Thus began the reign of Ade the Slave King.
The story continues through epic battles, including wars against witches, demons, and traitorous governors, assassination attempts, and betrayal
