He follows it into the forest, and meets a dinosaur as tall as the trees. It does not roar. It does not stomp. It is very, very gentle.
Every morning, Grandpa tells him the same three things: Be curious. Be kind. Be gentle with every living thing. Today, deep in the forest, those words are put to the test. Instead of running, the boy stands still, whispers Hello. I'm your friend, and a giant comes closer.
What follows is a whole day of adventure: splashing in the sparkly stream, climbing to the top of the hill, and a glowing little gift he will keep forever.
The Day I Met a Dinosaur is a warm, gentle picture book about courage, kindness and the kind of friendship you never forget.
Perfect for:- Bedtime. A calm, cozy story that ends under the stars, not with a scare
- Reading aloud. Short pages, fun sounds (thump, thump, thump!) and a repeated line children love to say along with you
- Little dinosaur fans who want a dinosaur friend, not a monster
- Talking about feelings: being brave when you're nervous, being kind to someone different, and saying goodbye
- Gifts for birthdays and holidays, and a lovely one for grandparents to read with grandchildren
- A read-aloud story for ages 3 to 7, under 40 words a page
- Bright, full-color illustrations on every page
- A simple message to carry into everyday life: be curious, be kind, be brave
Some friendships begin with a single curious step. Scroll up and take the first one together.
