It's the 22nd century. A century ago, plutocrats conspired, transforming the world into a dystopian nation called Maelia. They modified humans to create livestock to experiment on and harvest while they lived in cyberpunk cities. A resistance of scientists and hackers, calling themselves Logos, formed and ventured underground, searching for an opportunity to liberate the world from Maelia and preserve information. Generations later, they crippled Maelia, but Logos shortly fell to the artificial people they saved, and the world fell to anarchy. The only records of the golden age of humanity to survive are textbooks and anime.
Now, two young adults, a modern samurai and descendant of Logos' founder, and a bookish girl, a miracle child born to artificial humans, struggle for their happy ending... but the world and the remnants of Maelia may have their own plans for them.
This novel is not intended for young children. While not graphically or gratuitously, it touches on violent, sexual or other heavy topics. Also from
