On a little dinner table fresh bread is cooling,
With raspberry jam and milk, they are waiting.
Such a delicious supper should be followed by a tale.
Meet Messy Alfred, who is hoarding night and day!
In his enormous palace chaos is unleashed.
Will this mouse ever get his rooms cleaned?
He also falls in love while this drama is unfolding.
Can he ever succeed if he is not even bathing?
Children can learn a lot by listening to this story.
How to change bad habits and have courage, empathy!
They will see how to overcome guilt and shame.
How to ask for help so they can reach their aim.
This kind little tale which involved
Messy Alfred, so unbearable
A hoarder, quite unstoppable...
So begins this beautiful story about life-changing decisions, arranged in poem form, sprinkled with a bit of humor, and, of course, enriched with wonderful, hand-painted illustrations. Do not be mistaken by the fact that this is the very first work of Rose Tailor Elvenspring; she put all of her love, care, and talent into creating this stunning tale for you and for your little ones.
Every day Alfred is going home to his dirty, cluttered, miserable little house, and he himself is not a happy mouse. His way of living is holding him back from a fulfilling and merry life. Laziness and Comfort are his greatest friends at the beginning, but soon things are going to change. The story of Messy Alfred is a very educational one. In a world of overconsumption, confusion, and high abundance, many times we don't even know what we truly need! This book will help your children to be organized, focused, emphatic, and helpful towards others. It is also going to show them how to get rid of shame when one needs help and why it is important to recognize our personal limits. One other big takeaway is that it is never too late for someone to improve!1 different editions
