The word, woman produces many images: a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter- in the mind of everyone in the world. However, as a society, we are yet to know women's role and the space they occupy in the various cultures of the world. Each day, women wade through all fields of struggles with men to make life worth living, yet, the sphere in which a woman can express her femininity is narrow, because it is restricted. Regardless what claims society may hold, the changes that women have experienced in the last 300 hundred years may be phenomenal; nevertheless, they are yet to disrobe themselves from the stereotypical roles placed on them by circumstances surrounding them. Society can be a better place if we could redefine the 'cult of womanhood' and acknowledge royally, the nobility women inhabit. ( Padmore Agbemabiese A Chat with my Grandmother, 2014)
