This tale of love follows the journeys of modern day Jada and Gabe as they search for an ancient Roman manuscript dictated to a scribe by Bethnia, the daughter of Barnabas. In this manuscript true love and devotion are found in a lost parable that was given to the disciples. Paul and Barnabas were privy to this parable and discussed its meaning at length while the young Bethnia listened in the courtyard. Her fascination with its meaning guided her life and her relationship with her husband. When her son decides to marry, she is compelled to relate this story to her future daughter-in-law and dictates the letter to her scribe. The manuscript of the letter is kept and passed from family to family. It touches the lives and hearts of those who guard its message. When Jada and Gabe discover it, their hearts are changed.
