No male villager came near, they just stood back watching with amazement. If they took a step towards Susan, the village started hissing. Everyone had turned their backs on Susan, shunned her, scorned her, she felt like a pariah, except to the Police. However, Police attention had her alarm-bells going off.
Yet, the chattering Javanese villagers were fascinated by Susan, she'd gotten their attention. They hardly noticed or even regarded the other European women, everyone stared at Susan. Was that because of Susan's whorish look?
Where was the outrage? Where was the rushing to comfort Susan at being horribly abused and mistreated? The outraged disbelief that a United States citizen had been enslaved? How could they stand for such a horrific thing happening to one of their own, in this modern world? But, to Susan, it seemed that they could, they would, and they have accepted her slavery as a fact.
Susan, a long-legged, sexy vixen, escapes her Negro pimp only to be sunk by the Japanese and cast adrift. Once ashore in Java she is betrayed by a fellow lifeboat survivor, another woman, who forces Susan into white slavery.
Dark misery shrouded Susan. Alone, desolate dejection welled up, Susan shuddered, uncontrollably, she wept. Deep heartfelt tears of an outcast soul, lost and adrift on a strange hostile shore trickled down Susan's cheeks. Never in her young life, in her twenty-one years, could she imagine being totally alone, friendless, shunned! She was PENNILESS! Penniless, without even a dime to her name. She had NO WHERE to GO! She was a WHORE! That's why she was cast out! That's why people hated her! GOD, DAMN, JULIUS! That NEGRO did this to HER!
