Saving Sammy tells the heartwarming story of a young sea turtle named Sammy, who finds herself in a perilous situation. While exploring the ocean's beautiful depths, Sammy inadvertently gets her flipper stuck in a plastic bag, leaving her unable to swim freely and in danger of predators.

Meanwhile, on the shore nearby, a playful puppy named Bud enjoys his day at the beach. His curious nature leads him to the water's edge, where he spots Sammy struggling, and he is determined to help freeing Sammy.

Saving Sammy is a delightful tale of friendship, bravery, and environmental awareness, encouraging children to look out for one another and take care of the world around them. This book, written and illustrated by 13 year old Alayna Nguyen, imparts a vital message about protecting marine life, all while reminding readers that even the smallest heroes can make a big difference.
