Santa and Mrs. Claus love the North Pole, but lately things have changed. The reindeer still enjoy the cold, but the polar ice cap is melting. The elves still make dolls and trucks, but now Santa has robots to make all the electronic toys, so the toy-making process goes faster. Santa has less to do, and Mrs. Claus dreams of having a little garden-something quite impossible in the Arctic. Maybe it's time they found a second home to live in during the Christmas off-season.
So where will the Clauses live? Why, somewhere that keeps the spirit of Christmas alive all year long, of course! The village they choose has lots of good little children and a lovely brick house with a garden just for Mrs. Claus. As for Santa, he can trim his beard during the summer and let it grow back in time for the village's annual Christmas parade. It's the perfect second home for two people who work so hard to make Christmas special.
A delightful story depicting the everyday lives of Santa and Mrs. Claus, Santa's Second Home is the perfect answer for when children ask what Santa does when it isn't Christmastime.
