Translator s prefaceI will try to keep this short. It probably will not be short. But stay with me or just skip to the actual book. It is in Swedish. This is not. I need to make some things clear. To explain, if you will. For starters, is Together a Forced futuristic art project? Well since I, Pries Verhon wrote a very small part of it I suppose it is. At least that part. Andy Gell and others may disagree. No matter. This is a hard book to translate. They said Crash by J.G. Ballard was impossible to turn into a feature film. David Cronenberg proved everyone wrong. They said Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs was impossible to turn into a feature film. David Cronenberg, again, proved everyone wrong. It seemed like The man from La Mancha would never be completed. Now it seems Terry Gilliam completed it. So why is Together so hard to translate you may wonder? Orson Welles never completed Don Quijote but Jess Franco completed it for him, so it did work out in the end...For instance, it is written by several authors. Andy Gell and a bunch of other persons including myself and also by one anonymous person. 36 persons or something along the lines of that. I am not really sure to be honest. Look it up. Or don t. There are other issues. Each paragraph is exactly 23 words long. My piece ended up at page 66 in the English version. But enough about me, my ego and my aliases.I asked Mr Gell how to handle this. Should each paragraph be 23 words long in Swedish? He wrote yes. Will this mean that the translation is grammatically correct? I do not think so. I will try, but I think there are some issues here and there. Some sentences blend into each other. Some grammar is lost. Some liberties are taken.No matter. Together needs to have every paragraph 23 words long. It must be that way. For reasons that you, the reader is more than well aware of. A bit more about the book. There are pictures. There are QR codes. These will appear in the beginning of each chapter. This will be a translation and an interpretation. Every paragraph will be 23 words long. You are welcome to count and proofread this.Apart from that, all I can state is: We did it together. First came Whatever and was translated to Sak samma by yours truly. Then comes Together translated as Tillsammans also by yours truly. Forever will come or might have been completed and published in some manner when this is over and done and published. In fact, Forever - Book one is already available. Are you ready? Here we go. This is Together - this is Tillsammans.
