The Suppliants is a play by the ancient Greek playwright Aeschylus. It tells the story of the fifty daughters of Danaus, who flee from Egypt to escape forced marriages to their cousins, the sons of Aegyptus. They arrive in Argos, Greece, seeking protection from King Pelasgus and his people.
