The Story of Rocky and Salty Paws was inspired by a real black cat named Rocky. I met him when I was living on my sailboat with my husband and we pulled into the marina at Fisherman's Village. I walked across to the stores and there he was-sitting in front of the pet store called Salty Paws. He was being pet and receiving alot of attention from the people passing by. He looked so happy as if he owned the whole place! This is the story of how Rocky's life might have been before finding his way to Salty Paws and how that event changed his life.
