This is a history of the my wife's struggle with our failed medical system, the battles with bureaucracy and her brave fight to get the treatment she needed from the specialists and institution she wanted. I want to show that, in order to get the type of treatment you deserve and need: you have to do battle every step of the way; you have to take charge of your own treatment and monitor it every step of the way; you need an advocate to stand and fight with you and for you; and, you need the support of your spouse or significant other, family, friends, employer and the community as a whole. I hope to show bravery of a wonderful woman and the support she got from everyone, the battle she fought. And hope that this will encourage others in her position to take charge of their own treatment with fortitude and courage.
