To put things simply, Squeezing Sunshine Out of Rain is my best attempt to make it through every fu*kin minute of every fu*kin day! I'm in pain! Listen, I gotta speak to you clearly, plainly, and directly. I'm going through a lot of raw shit and it's coming out how it's coming out. So, if you catch a stray, I apologize in advance. Most days I'm hanging on by the tips of my finger and toenails, and if I didn't have help of a shamefully and ridiculously small number of family/friends and The Most High God, The Creator I would be out of my fu*kin mind right now! I mean, DAMN! I've never felt this kind of constant stress and pressure in my entire life. Even dealing with all the evil pre-teen racial bullshit that happened to me when I lived in Joppatowne Maryland, pales in comparison to what's jumping off today. I've come to realize that trying to stay in my right mind and reasonably happy is probably the hardest part, because these kinds of life challenges and changes can push you over that fatal edge that Melle Mel rapped about. Being alive is a blessing, but it ain't nothing to play with!!!

This book is my most intimate and graphically vulnerable offering to date. As you read you will enter my depression, my anger, my pain, my disappointments, my defeats, my exhaustion, my sleeplessness, my fears, my anxiety, my negativity, my nightmares, my questions, and my bitterness. But on the flip side, you'll also experience, my love, my affirmations, my victories, my intimacy, my pleasures, my joy, my happiness, my humor, my creativity, my positivity, my dreams, my appreciation, my gratitude, and my supreme devotion to God.

So, in other words, buckle the fu*k up, you're in for a hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride.
