Este libro fue concebido con el propósito de ofrecer al público lector una interpretación plausible sobre las obras más valiosas del filósofo Jean Jacques Rousseau: el Segundo Discurso, el Emilio y el Contrato Social.
Dichos trabajos se desarrollaron de acuerdo a una perspectiva de la realidad humana que nos brinda la posibilidad de comprender la sociedad contemporánea, a pesar del momento histórico tan lejano en el que se escribieron.
Cuando Rousseau nos ofrece una mirada sobre el fenómeno de la alienación, el cual implica que el hombre vive fuera de sà mismo, alejado de su esencia, nos obliga a observarnos y evaluarnos en nuestra actual situación. Nosotros, los hombres y mujeres civilizados del siglo XXI, Estamos viviendo de acuerdo a nuestra naturaleza o no? Vivimos alienados o vivimos alineados a nuestro ser espiritual?
En esta obra se van a ofrecer dos ensayos: el primero se refiere a la corrupción del ser humano en la civilización a raÃz de la construcción social de una falsa identidad, producto de un estado de ignorancia fundamental, que privó al hombre de comprender su naturaleza. El segundo ensayo plantea la salida del estado de corrupción por medio de la gestación del contrato social que se puede desarrollar a través de un sujeto conocedor de la verdadera naturaleza humana, sin el cual no se podrÃa haber concretado nunca la sociedad polÃtica democrática rousseauniana. Ese sujeto es el lÃder consciente que contribuye a desarrollar las condiciones intelectuales de igualdad, libertad y fraternidad que sustentan la gestación de una voluntad sociopolÃtica democrática basada en el conocimiento de la naturaleza común de la raza humana.
Espero que estas dos tesis sobre estas obras tan sorprendentemente contemporáneas de Rousseau nos ayuden a iluminar vacÃos y a resolver enigmas que el ginebrino nos legó a las futuras generaciones.
