Panegyrico Ascetico De La Sagrada Imagen De Christo S.n., ultrajada De Los Judios En Berito, y Venerada De La Iglesia...de San Salvador...de Valencia En El Dia De Su Dedicacion, y Nueve De Noviembre De 1722 is a historical religious text by Francisco Vidal. This work presents an ascetic panegyric dedicated to the sacred image of Christ, focusing on the events surrounding its desecration by Jews in Beirut and its subsequent veneration by the Church of San Salvador in Valencia. The sermon commemorates the dedication of the church on November 9, 1722.
Vidal's writing offers insights into religious practices, beliefs, and historical events of the period. This work provides valuable information for scholars and readers interested in Christian theology, Spanish religious history, and the cultural context of 18th-century Spain.
