Memoria E Instrucció Per Los Novicis, by Jaume Janer, offers a fascinating glimpse into the religious life and instruction of novices within the Barefoot Friars Minor Observant (Noshe Bare) and Franciscan order in the province of Catalonia. This historical text provides a detailed account of the principles and practices imparted to those entering religious life during the period. The book serves as a valuable resource for understanding the spiritual and practical guidance given to novices, shedding light on the daily routines, theological teachings, and moral expectations of the order. With insights into the religious and cultural context of 18th-century Catalonia, this book appeals to scholars and readers interested in religious history, monasticism, and the history of Christian education.
